Jeanie Froemel PEINADO

1943 - 2017 

Jeanie Froemel Peinado passed away after a brief illness on February 12, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 73 years old. Born on April 5, 1943, in West Point, New York, Jeanie graduated from Irvin High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Texas Western College in 1966. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emilio Peinado, and father, Eugene Froemel. She is survived by her mother, Mildred Froemel; siblings Kathy Engebos, Mary Ellen Osborne, and Fred (Julieta) Froemel, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. Lovingly known as "Aunt Jeanie" to many, she was dedicated to her family and friends. Jeanie owned several successful small businesses throughout her lifetime, and was always highly respected and appreciated by her clients, colleagues, and employees. She spent years traveling the world but really just wanted to stay home. Ever the hopeful romantic, she only liked movies with happy endings. She loved horses and dogs, tolerated people, and had a tendency to take in strays. Jeanie will be incredibly missed by her family and friends. Her final resting place will be by the side of her husband Emilio at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, NM. At her request, services will not be held. In lieu of such, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in her name. Or, better yet, one could take in a stray. Aunt Jeanie, we love you.
